Greater Peace Community Development Corporation hosted its inaugural Purple Reign Affair, welcoming 275 guests for an evening dedicated to celebrating community, honoring those committed to change, and raising funds to sustain the organization’s programs.
The event marks a new chapter for what was formerly known as the Taste of Lee County & Community Comedy Roast, which will now return each year under a new annual theme.
A Fresh Format, a Familiar Mission
While the name and format have changed, the heart of the event remains the same: bringing the community together in support of Greater Peace CDC’s continued work.
Each year, the Purple Reign Affair will take on a new theme, giving guests a fresh experience while continuing to shine a light on the leaders, educators, and change-makers strengthening our community—and raising the funds needed to keep programs like Camp SEEP running strong.
Spotlight: State Representative Jeremy Gray
Among the evening’s honorees, State Representative Jeremy Gray was recognized with the Community Partner Award for his continued support of the Lee County community and his commitment to initiatives that uplift local families and students.
Representative Gray’s presence at the event underscored the strong partnership between community organizations and elected officials working together toward shared goals of education, opportunity, and community investment.
