Greater Peace Community Development Corporation’s Executive Director, Clarinda Jones Turner, recently traveled to Las Vegas to attend the National Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) conference, joining child nutrition professionals from across the country for several days of training, policy updates, and best-practice sharing.

The CACFP conference gives nutrition and program leaders direct access to the latest federal guidelines, meal pattern requirements, and compliance standards that shape how organizations like Greater Peace CDC serve nutritious meals to children and adults in our care. Staying current on these standards is essential to maintaining program integrity and ensuring every child served through our programs, including Camp SEEP, receives meals that meet the highest nutritional and safety standards.
Beyond regulatory updates, the conference offers valuable opportunities to network with other CACFP sponsors and administrators from around the nation, exchange strategies for program growth, and learn new approaches to menu planning, food safety, and family engagement.
